1500HD come with 80e's and any 2500 suv comes with them.
I was mostly speaking new style in not sure what they did back in the day.
I think the newer ones are what you're referring to, not the carbed older motors... before 99 everything had 60e I think.
But the 80e swap shouldn't be more work than sticking another 60e in, just a couple wires to move around and such... and even stock its going to be able to handle weight and power better than almost any 60e

thanks guys, the more i think about the avalanche the more my mind is made up tho, a new lvl2 60e will cost $300 compared to the $'s involved in an 80 swap, the truck is all but payed off and worth a few $'s and i plan on getting a 6.0 gto here shortly that will waste my supercharged avalanche even with an 80, so a n/a ext caddy with big wheels might take its place.
