Plus, I've had black bear before and now that I've switch to nelson, it runs SO MUCH better.

I doubt it, I'm pretty sure Nelson uses solely HPTuners, but BlackBear has a very good reputation for themselves as well. From the sounds of it, you don't have the time to drive somewhere to get a live tune, so I think AutoCal is your best bet. Don't let people try to sway you either way, do what is easiest and cheapest for YOU. I highly doubt you're going to notice the difference on an otherwise stock truck whether you go with BlackBear or Nelson.

Like most everyone has stated a live street tune would be way more beneficial, hands down no questions.
I'm partial to Nelson Performance, mostly because of what I have witnessed personally from my own vehicles and several friends vehicles.
I have witnessed a truck that got Headers, Y-Pipe, 160 Tstat and free flowing huge Magnaflow put it on it and then tuned by one of these other tuners and actually run slower times then he was running with just a tune. Now this truck has a Nelson tune and it runs faster times in 100+ degree heat than it was in 55 degree weather, we will know just how fast as soon as it cools down some.
On my Daughter's 2010 CCSB with 5.3L 6L80 3.42 he tuned it and dropped almost 1.5 seconds from stock runs in the 1/4 mile.
You are doing the right thing by researching it first and I wish you luck, getting a tune on that 6.2 is going to make you grin from ear to ear!

Well that makes me feel a lot better about how my truck ran the first time I had it out at the track. 190k miles and bone stock my 99 ECSB 5.3 with 3.73 gears and 33's ran 15.8-16.0! No idea what it runs now seeing how I have never had time to get it to the track since then.![]()

Hell that's not bad for a big truck man, what have you done to it since the first runs?
I need to get my DMax to the track to get some stock runs in to see what base times it'll run before the modding begins, haha they will surely be slow I can feel a ton of TM in it.

Well....CAI, LT's & ORY, full 3" exhaust, cheaTR cam, P&P tb, tune, and smaller lighter tires. Just little stuff.
Hoping that it will be around/under 14.5.
Its got some issues right now that I need to take care of before we can get the tune dialed in. Have an exhaust leak...at the head where I broke a bolt off installing the LT's, tried extracting it broke the extractor off inside the bolt started to mushroom the hole out after trying a slightly larger size so I smoothed the surface and bolted everything back on. Anyway the leak makes the O2 sensors think its lean so it dumps more fuel making it super rich. I was supposed to meet up with a local guy and pick up another set of heads, but havent been able to make that happen.
