Yea the tips gotta go.
Hard top is the only way. Has anyone seen dyno #s for a stock ZR1.
you know now that you mention it, that ZL1 maro is putting way more than it should. i find it hard to believe that they would make it more powerful than the ZR1 corvette, but the vette is only supposed to have 630-ish at the crank. the few vids that i've seen of it on a dyno only showed it getting in the 550-560 range in both hp and tq at the wheels.
that dyno that maro is running on must be....generous.who knows though

but isn't the ZL1 modded by SLP though? either way, the corvette is made up of pretty much carbon fiber reinforced plastic, so it should still be better than the ZL1...

Well compairing the track vids the ZR1 is faster still and most stock pulls I have seen have been lower 530 or so which is normal for drivetrain loss, but dang the ZL1 put down 600 to the wheels. This must be a modded ZL1 or something bc there is no way chevy does this on their own. It does say SLP and GM does have a working relationship with them....... maybe the new ZR1 will be improved upon also![]()

not that i have heard. i was thinking it was straight from GM just like that. i'm not 100% on that though.
yea, i'm pretty sure the ZL1 weighs significantly more than the ZR1 for sure.
i was just thinking maybe in the video that dyno was not set up right or something. i have a buddy that has a 03 cobra that he's been building up over the last 4 years or so, and last time we dynoed it, it was a new guy that did it and he put down 583/615 at the wheels, and we were only expecting about 500/550 or so. just a thought.
