that's a darn good price imo.
did that come with the harness/ecm/acc?

are you changing cams or putting a converter in before the install?

    Progress

Got the frame back from paint. Everything's about to start going back on. I didn't originally plan on stripping it down this far, but its gonna pay off.

A couple of problems i've come across...

I got the a/c relocation braket by Kwik Performance, purchased from Current Performance, but it does not fit on the LS3. Hopefully they'll refund me. Anyone out there know if there's a kit for a LS3?

I have to build a custom trans cross member. It will be made out of 2" square tubing. I think 1/4" wall thickness should suffice. I'm going to make two saddles for the exhaust to fit through.

Today, i'm blasting and painting the control arms and spindles. Might get to the rear end, depends on how many beers are left

    that's all for now....

    custom trans Xmember

back offshore working, which means i have a LOT of spare time on my hands. I swear, if I could just figure out a way to get my whole truck on this boat, i could finish it in two weeks. LOL.

Just fabbed up this custom crossmember to nestle that 6L80 into its sweet little spot. Access for 3" pipes as you can see....

I think I'll paint it gloss red...

cool deal man def gonna be a nice truck

i'm stayin away from the 6l80 swaps right now. i was talking to one of the guys at Circle D the other day and he said they've had lots of them coming threw. and the weekest part of the trans is the midshaft. no one makes an aftermarket one. their working with someone up north to start building them one and its gonna cost atleast 1200 or so.

Got my Painless Harness in. I'm building a 16 x 24 workshop on my spare lot so I can do this thing right from here on out. Work on the truck should be a little slow for a couple months because that will consume most of my time.

Also, I'm thinking about the Wilwood rear brake kit. I just stumbled upon it last week. I had no idea they offered a bolt on disk kit till then. It's around $700 for everything including pads. LINK
