truck is an 06 silverado..was a flex fuel truck but previous owner took the flex fuel pump out for a non-flex fuel pump
Step 1: remove bed
Step 2: remove pump assembly from tank
Step 3: removes fuel level sensor and housing from pump assembly
Step 4: remove line from assembly to regulator then remove the top of the assembly
Step 5: remove fuel line from in tank pressure regulator
Step 6: remove pump from assembly...on this pump there was no need to ''cut the bucket'' it just snapped loose
this is the pressure regulator
Step 7: remove fuel line from stock pump i just cut the fitting that goes into the regulator and replaced the line with the supplied line with the kit
Step 8: splice new pump wires into old pump wires
Step 9: install new pump into housing and connect to regulator
Step 10: install filter onto pump assembly
Step 11: reinstall top of pump assembly and connect the fuel line back to the regulator and connect fuel pump wires
Step 12:reinstall bottom of fuel pump and fuel level sensor
Step 12: reinstall pump assembly back into tank and connect fuel lines and wires
Step13: reinstall bed
Step 14: enjoy your new pump and break it in with a big smokey burnout
