    Local guy has stock rod bolts, not ARP's... the truck intake was the killer past 6500 rpms. A fast 92 or pro flo will fix the fall off.

    Well yeah he's got upgraded valvetrain. I couldn't remember if he had rod bolts or not though.

    6900 myself!!! then again thats were i shift at ooops then again i'm not on stock rods lol

    i spin 6900 and have slammed the limiter at 7200 rpm more than i can count.

    stock bottom end 135,000 mile old LS1.

    old mod list: H/C/I/N/E/G 408
    new mod list: 5.3, gears/posi, mufler and tune : (

    7700 is highest ive seen. i have dual springs, double roller timing chain and ARP 2000 rod bolts. thats also with 16 psi thru motor at that rpm

    motor still pulls clean at 7500
    2002 Lightning - GT headed 5.5Litre w/ Twin 7665s
    2002 Silverado - 427Lsx w/ Twin gt4202s
    2010 Silverado crewcab Z71 - 5.3litre w/ procharger
    2000 Wrangler - 5.3litre with some stance

    i have spun mine to 6900 but that was an accident usually its about 6500.
