You will just have to practice your launch. Since you haven't been to the track a lot, it will take a few times to figure out the clutch's friction point. This will be different on DRs or slicks from your street tires. It will just take some time and practice. How strong is your clutch? Will it hold if you leave at 4k RPMs with slicks?

well considering its a LS7 corvette clutch it seems to hold pretty damn good im not sure everything else will hold launching at 4k though haha. im thinking a 3k launch on radials will be enough though my cam really kicks hard from 3k to about 6300rpms or so. once im out of first gear its just hittin shifts. i spun shifting 2nd last year and it would hop a bit shifting 3rd the 285/30/20s werent enough. i guess ill find out. plus im running the long tubes this year which seemed to help down low a tad more then the junk manifolds i had. trial and error i suppose. ill let you guys know.
