cc10753 It is a 2 wheel drive extended cab with a 5.3 auto and 3.42 rear.

I want more mid range and top end power. A litte lope at idle would be cool too. Basicly just a strong driver.

Long tube headers with catless Y, a cam swap in the 220-224 range, push rods, valve springs, computer tune, cold air induction, shift kit, Vette servo pistons, and a 2600-2800 stall would be nice but you need more gear and a locker to put it down. These probably wouldn't fit in the budget. Once all that's done the trans will probably need help. It's never ending...

Forgot the cat-back. Proper shopping and a DIY attitude could fit it all in the budget.

What lobe seperation is best for street and by 220-224 you are talking intake right?

    Will I pass emissions?

Is there a good tuner in Houston?

Well what I meant was in the 220-224 range on both sides. Some cams are split duration, some are same on both lobes. If you wanna go custom you could get a special cam spec'd that would most likely be split. Most N/A guys run an LSA in the 112-114 range. You should pass emissions 224 and under with a good tune....more duration is possible too but may not suite your combo and goals. Generally speaking wider LSA will have lower emissions but there are variables.

    Almost dried out...

Engine back in truck. PCM with Nelson tune installed. LS1 Hot cam, Heads competition ported, milled with 200 intake valves by Westside Performance in Houston, Pacesetter long tube headers...

Listened to truck with open headers and got it to idle today.

    I'm sure I wouln't sleep tonight...

Will be going to exhaust shop tomorrow. Yeah, wide open... Got a serious lope. Can't wait to get it broke in.
