I use a degreaser before i hit the car wash, then i hose it down and shoot it with Tire shine or Armor all, after a day or two I wipe everything off. Everything comes out brand new lookin

I always use Armor All's cleaning wipes (meant for interior) to clean everything up really well. It leaves a residue on chrome and stuff though, so I usually wipe those areas back down with a dry paper towel. After that, I use Armor All protectant wipes on the plastic stuff and Meguiar's Quik Detailer on the painted areas. Turns out flawless, but it rarely gets done.

Only problem with armor all is that dirt starts sticking to it after a while. My valve covers are nasty looking.

The protectant? It's only meant for plastic. Why'd you put it on your valve covers?

Works great cleaning/degreasing/detailing, you name it does it. Never been a big fan of those oily, slick, grit and grim holding sprays. The natural look is better IMHO.
