I was looking at the 100hp gain thread, so something similiar to that.

Ah, gotchya. I have a cam that is close: 220/220 .581/.581 and it runs really good. If I were you, I would go with the 228R. It has a higher duration (which the 5.3Ls LOVE), and it matches the .588 lift. But a stall would be required.
