G8 and GTO are the same car besides number of doors and updates from being 2-3 years newer.

Ok does anyone know how Comfortable the back seat of a GTO is in comparision the the G8? I DONT want to be able to load a army with me. (been down that road and I HATE people always wanting to use my car when there is alot of people) But If me and my girl are taken out her brother and Fiance I dont want them so smashed its sadening. I know the Trans am and Camaro back seat was a joke. Was the GTO any larger? It seemed like a better rear seat set up in the pictures I have seen. Any one know for sure?

Another question. Insurance. Is the GTO and G8 the same risk? Being the G8 is a 4 dr if its a lower risk insurance I would save back whatever money I spent 6 months at a time.

The GTO seat is a million times better than the F cars but the two-door body cramps it. The G8 is mostly the same (4-door version of the GTO) but the extra doors help.

So my biggest question now would be if the insurance is higher on the GTO. If it is then G8 here I come. But if they are the same its GTO all the way.

Yeah, Nate is right about the cars...the G8 is just a 4-door version of the GTO, but has updates. The GTO insurance shouldn't be horrible, since it is a 2+2.
Yes, the G8 has a 6-speed manual option.

If it was me, I would go with the GTO, but the G8 being the second choice.

Call your insurance carrier and tell them to run some numbers for you on the G8 and the GTO...

go with the G8 GXP!!!!!!! i test drove a GT a while ago and have no complaints about it at all. very nice car. it rode as good as anything else ive ridded in and was pretty darn quick too!!! the jacka55 of a salesman had it to about 110 on the interstate no problem! it will also be way more practical because of the four doors.

My Idea of practical is small so everyone doesnt try to pile in my ride. I just really am wanting the idea of insurance, gasmileage, and how well they hold up.
