Thread: traction control and stabilitrak

    we just put a set of long tube headers on an 08 silverado with a 5.3 and it is throwing the stabilitrak and traction control lights....the only dtc i can pull up with HPT is lean o2 sensor on bank 1 sensor 1....which i an o2 we had problems getting out of the old exhaust that prob needs replaced....but why would the stabilitrak and traction control service lights be on?

    Welcome to the ever increasing difficulty of modification.

    Imagine making a living working with this crap sometimes and how seemingly non-related parts intermingle trouble codes.

    no, i havent had it looked at yet. everything is fine with the truc at the moment so im not too worried about it. but the reason i dont really want to take it to the dealership now is i still have the o2's not working so i want to wait until i replace those to take it in
