Ive done 2 sets of tails myself and they turned out great and glass looking. Only costed me around 20! I used 2 Cans of Transparent Black Spray and ppg clear out of my paint gun.

I darken them to the right shade with the transparent black, then spray layers of clear coat with a paint gun.

How many coats of black did you use on these? Whats the max that I can go while still being able to see the lights through them?Heres a few of how mine turn out.

I could black out a tail and still have food light transfer. I overreduce the black base so the pigments arent so close together and this particular tail has 5 coats of clear. It almost acts like a magnifine glass, thats why I put so many coats.

Ok so what ratio of black to reducer do you do? Where can I get the same stuff you use to do this at home? Also about how much would it cost?
