Take a look at PE (Power Enrichment) , on stock trucks it is way to rich , run something like 1.15 EQ (12.8 AFR) .
Read , read , read as much as you can about tuning and everything associated with it , ask questions about "what does this do?" .
There is a lot to learn , but don't give up , it will come in time .
