There's a ghost in the machine somewhere. It started stumbling a little at idle and part-throttle before I took it in but figured the new plugs/tune would fix it. It's still doing it after the turbo/initial tune...so we have to chase some things down.

BTW, I'm a 1/4 mile "virgin" so any pointers would be appreciated!

Okay, I guess I asked for that. I've seen it done, just never done it myself.

Turn off the AC 15 minutes or more before pulling to the staging lanes to give time for the condensation to drain.

put it in four, stall it up and let her go. I dunno if most 4x4 guys shift out so I cant tell you what to do after the first 330 foot

According to Allen, the tx case is stronger than the tranny. I'm not sure of the front diff components, though. I wouldn't think they were designed with a lot of speed/power in mind...I could be wrong though.

I'd start in 4HI also and push the 2HI button after the 1-2 shift unless I had a lot of juice or F/I....

In that case I'd buy a 2002 or earlier "real" AWD (unlike mine) and hose it real good....

...or I'd get a 2WD short short and fortify the rear. I haven't mentioned my current combo because it won't work for performance...
