The Colorado/Canyon is scheduled to receive the 5.3 in some versions for 2009.

Yes, but I'm thinking that with the current gas-price crisis............ as we speak, those plans might very well be going into the "on-hold" mode. We hope they WILL be in production, but sadly, I have my doubts. Let's hope for the best.

I vote for the ls3 in the s15, I'm kinda bais, but you were saying you only want one toy. get ahold of a set of zq8 suspension or better yet belltech with big sway bars and put some new wheels with grippy tires on it. it will handle better then any fullsize out there. throw the ls3 in that and you will compete with vettes on the street, and still be a monster in the 1/4.

for your driver I would ditch the 94 and find a 00-up with a 4.8 or 5.3, much better handling, fuel economy, and more creature comforts the what you have now. plus they are going for cheap right now. dont make your toy a 4500+lb truck when you have a 3300lb truck already cut up and set up for fun. put a quiet exh on it and it will be more fun on the street, and put cutouts for the track.

If your looking for handling the new Silvy's and Sierra's with the rack and pinion handle really well.
But you could make one really badass truck with the money you'd spend on a new rig.
    There's no replacement for displacement.
