Thread: Transgo HD-2 shift kit... bad???

    LOL!!! im glad to hear that from you guys!! i'll go searching around for a good tranny guy!! he told me B&M was the way to go.. good to hear that i made the right decision buying transgo and vette servo... some other guy just told me, they wouldnt improve performance... and that i would hurt my tranny.. but i dont think so..

    Just make sure that that you put in a pcm that has been tuned for the shift kit and servo. IE> if you have a tune and the shifts have been firmed up, and then you install a shift kit and servos, you will damage the tranny from to harsh of a shift.

    I had the HD-2 and loved it just dont have it set up to harsh on the 1-2 shift it will kill the trans. Vince knows his on these trans

    im with him on that ive done some dealing with flt trans and they know theyre **** .make sure the 1-2 isnt too hard or u will be replacing the tranny ,im on num 6.this time less washers and smaller hole in the sep plate.

    installed the hd2 kit on my tranny when it was slipping 80k on it...

    after the kit i got it up to 134k till I broke the output shaft...

    he's only telling you that so he can get you back in there later on...

    The B&m is crap, IMHO. The Trans-go HD2 is more of a complicated kit to install than the Superior. I installed 2 Superior shift kits this past weekend and they were ok to install--I still had to drill out the pressure plate... Bit it is mainly accumulator pistons and springs...
