    That sounds like a good plan !!! I know what you mean about credit I couldn't finance a bicycle right now without a co-signer thank god for parents that care.

    much better...try and see if ya cant squeeze the 5.3 out of him now...look up Tombstone, he is member here, his truck looks great, but i havent seen one like his around my area yet either. my brother sells chevy's and says he thinks it is a "texas edition."

    but anway, the 4.8 would be cool too..better than those midsize trucks.

    Just make sure you get power windows and door locks.

    Wow, schmoozed the dad into a new one. Good work, chap! You've done good so far--now go for the 5.3. Trust me (and a lot of us), you will be kicking yourself if you stay with the 4.8. Seriously..what is the MSRP difference between a 4.8 and 5.3? $350? If you get the 2LT trim package, the 5.3 is standard...
