<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Mister P @ May 25 2007, 01:07 PM) </div>Everyone's got some really good advice here, I would side more with Red though and do what you can to get that 60' time under control. If you are not going to go with more cubes then you're going to have to make up with it in RPM and stall speed. In your case a good converter is a must, along with a shift kit & servos, I would start there along with a quality tune, one that's got you shifting a lot higher RPM than stock. After that I would go to headers + P&P TB... And I understand you want 9.5s on the 22s but I'm not sure it'll be possible because (1) they're probably heavy-assed bitches and (2) the rear tires are too tall, you want something closer to a 28" tall tire.
Mr. P.
Just had another thought - trade your rear step bumper for a roll pan, that'll drop like 55-65 lbs right there.

Yeah your right about the rims they are heavier compared to stock ones... the overall diameter of the tires are 28" though and i do have a rollpan installed..
i think the 4.8L has alot potential due to the aftermarket parts available for them even if it is undersized compared to the other LS series motors...
I think working from the back (rearend) forward (motor) is probably my safest way to do it all...
I've been doing alot of research checking out Ls1tech.com and ls1.com and noticed there are some camaro's and T/a's running 5.3L heads that have been reworked.. Can i do a similar setup like what they are doing on there rides?
Now I do have a spare set of 5.3L H.O. heads w/ (cast number 799) that are used but in good condition in my storage facility that i can send off and get worked on... any ideas or suggestions on what can be done? I know port and polished but can i upgrade to a slightly bigger valve for the intake and exhaust on the heads? I figured my biggest power adders considering i'm gong to stick with N/A is going to be heads/Cam swap.
