Allen is sending a new PCM. He started from scratch. Should be here in a couple of days. Just in time for me to get the cam in and need another one.

Damn fool, you must know how to bargain with selling prices. That is actually cool that you are making money on the deal. Not that many people can do that--selling a used cam, then buying a better (IMO) used cam and making money... so, you taking the wifey to a romantic dinner for two on the $15 you made?

Hell, cam swaps aren't THAT bad, I'd even do it from some breakfast tacos and a couple cans of Copenhagen...

You will!! What about a breakfast burito and a log of copenhagen?? You know im needing mine swapped.

Hmmmm.... Breakfast burrito AND a log!?!?! Sweet deal for me! Yeah it can be done. There is one tool you will need that I don't have...the rods that slide into the oil galleys that keep the lifters up. You can buy a set on Ebay under LS1 cam install tool. Or you can go get 5/16" wooden dowel rods from Home Depot---a lot cheaper. They'll work too. When Danny helped me do mine, he didn't use them at all...he said 3 Hail Mary's and held his breath while pulling the cam out and installing the new one. He's done 87 million of them, so he knows how the "feel" it. I'd rather shove in the rods and not have to wait for 3 minutes to breathe...

Grizzly...eeeeeeewww! Not for me. I'd rather pay $5.50 a can and get Cope. It's an expensive habit---considering I go through 1 can per day...

Damn, this thread has gone from Moze's cam to a snuff thread---and trying to get me to install their cam. Sorry for crapping on your thread Moze...

Anyway--Silverado06--I wouldn't mind helping put in your cam, but you are in H-town...a long travel for a cam install. I am sure there are some guys on here that live down there that can help out. Unless you wanna drive 4 hours each way to get your cam installed...

SC and I found that the manufactured rods do not fit in LQ9 blocks, the wooden dowels leave parts engines don't like. If you spin it you can tell when they stay up and then don't breath..... it fails one in... NOT MINE!!!
