Ok and then i was also wondering what sensor people are using to turn on thier electric fans. i want to use one that screws into the blank on the head for the coolant and was wondering if anyone else has done it this way and if so where they got thier part?

most of us tie in to the pcm so it will go off the factory thermostat

what year 5.3 did you get? i believe the 99 models had smaller injectors than the rest

mine is supposed to be around an 04. it had a DBW throttle body on it

has anyone who has already done this swap had any issues with the fuse pannel. Can the stock v6 one work?

no problems, samething just pug in same spot the v6 one did

where would you tie it off of the pcm at? i got mine on the radiator right now, but i want to redo it soon.

I hit a block in my conversion because i found out i have a 06 wiring harness and it obviously won't work on my 99 and wiring harness' don't grow on trees. Here are a couple of pictures of my swap progress.

Yeah thats what i'll probably end up doing. Do you know how much your junkyard charged you? I imagine even from a junkyard it was a pretty penny

paid 100 for mine. most of them i wanted between 125-150
