Here it sits but now I have to separate the motor and trans. I THOUGHT I didnt need the flexplate spacer. But apparently I do. So I used the donor torque converter and now the motor wont turn. I went to put the bolts in the converter and I think it is too tight back there. The flexplate is resting on the back of the block.

DAMNIT!!!!!! More work and money to spend.

    HELP!!!!!!! PLEASE??????

For sure the LS style converter will not work in the older 4l60s. That's all the help I can offer even though you already found that out. Good luck

I found everywhere there is a flexplate, adapter and bolts needed to bolt the LS to the LT style 60E trans.

Anyone use this type of setup?

I have a question about the opposite. I have a 2000 LSX 4L60E and TC that I need to bolt to my LT1. Am I going to run into any problems?

The LS style trans has a longer input shaft and won't allow it to bolt up to the older style engines. There may be some work around but I haven't heard of one. You'd be better off selling that one and buying the cheaper older style.

They started doing the removable bell housing somewhere in 97. You need the bell housing from a 5.7 97 up.

Anyone try to use the OBS throttle body on a GEN 3 motor? I see it fits pretty good. The opening is slightly smaller then the gen 3. I was trying to mount the DBW pedal to the firewall and it is too tight in that area so I am now thinking of using my old throttle body and wire in the TPS and IAC to the PCM and stick to DBC.

I'd be interested to see the result of this because I am getting ready to pretty much do the same swap. 6.0 LQ9 DBW going into my '98 ECSB. I was a little worried initially about the fitment of the pedal assembly but I've got a friend with a welder and a torch, so I'm sure we can make magic happen!

It's really not hard at all to get the pedal to fit. I think I was even was able to use the factory holes and bolts. I did cut and weld mine but several others have just bent it to where they wanted it.

Took a ride down to Summit Racing today and picked up the flex plate adapter and bolts. While I was there I walked through the clearance section and found a cold air intake for a Gen IV 6.0 Silverado for less than half the cost of a new one. I will make it work for my setup.
