pcmcobra, I was talking about 88-2000 chevy trucks because the frame is different but I haven't seen the headers like you have. Either way nice headers.

Greg, I was trying to do something for ease of installation but it was too many bends and would have to be welded. Everyone who's been patient with me I appreciate it and I guarantee a quality header like Thorley but Random Tech and the company these are going to be sold through are top of the line when it comes to C4, C5 and C6 vettes with LSX engines.

The thing they overlooked is that if you pull a Tuned Port out of a Corvette, do nothing to a 5.3 but install it, you get an increase of 40+ horsepower. Add a mild cam and ported heads and it's more like a 100-hp increase. Of course if you use a 5.7, 6.0 or 6.2-liter engine, there's even more power on tap. It's just hard to pass on a 5.3 when you can buy a complete engine with accessories and PCM for less than $750. At the other end of the price spectrum is the LS7-- it's obviously not cheap but with a rating of 505 horsepower, it's fun to think about.
A truck or SUV swap is relatively easy because there's more working room. You have good reason to be excited.
dfe1, Do you work at YearOne? Or where?

His name is Dave and is with Random Technology , he's the one that hooked me up with the header distributor and fabricator both. He might not be able to reply for a few days that's why I answered.

I'm at the mercy of the fabrication guys at this point and they told me they would be completed last weekend and they weren't. I'm tired of telling you they'll be ready and they aren't but I'm doing my best to deal with these guys. I hate to drop them and move to someone else since I've seen their finished headers, they look beautiful. At this point all I can say is be patient or go with the Thorleys or whoever. I'm keeping my word that these will be completed it's just taking a hell of alot longer than I expected. I don't want a set of headers with welds all down the tubes when they can be solid and look like chrome. I'll be on the phone again tomorrow.

Please be patient as you all have been.
