Damn that console looks great, and it looks like something factory only better.

I am working on this swap as well, but from a 4l60e in an o2 gmc.

I heard the driveshaft will work with going from the 4l60 to the M6, so I am not worried about that.

Did you use your stock clutch master cylinder? Did it work out ok with using the t56 slave cylinder? No release problems or pedal sticking to the floor??

Did you use your stock hydralic line between the master and slave cylinder?

I used all stock items except I used a SPEC II clutch. The slave in the T56 was the same as the one in my 5 speed. Everything works fine

Ron is it true you can stick a t56 behind the 4.8. If so what else besides the driveshaft would have to be change out?

if you go from auto to t-56 you do not need a new crossmember,

    you need

    clutch
    flywheel
    tranny
    bellhousing
    master cyl
    slave cyl
    pilot bearing
    hydro line
    pedal assym.
    flywheel bolts
    pressure plate bolts
    clutch pedal bolts
    shifter
    shifter handle
    reprogram ecu
    modify crossmember

I dont think im forgetting anything

remember, the ls1 block and 4.8, 5.3, 6.0 block are all almost identical on the outside. A couple of accessory bolt holes are missing between the two, but thats it. 99.99999 percent of all parts are interchangeable, including trannys.

If you already have a 5 speed it make it pretty easy, about the only thing you would need would be a shorter driveshaft, most T56's come with bellhousings and if they are out of a Camaro or T/A they will bolt up fine. The T56 and your 5 speed use the exact same slave cylinder so you can use your truck slave which has the hydraulic line attached or you can use the T56 slave and drive the roll pin out and swap in the truck hydraulic line. And also you will need a set of 4.56 gears.
