    iron block ls1 is the 4.8/5.3 since it was meant to be a iron 5.7. 352 could be a bored out 5.3, who knows fast car from 3 yrs ago

    I was talking about his twin turbo charged 99 Monte carlo.... Car Close Up - Jason Scruggs' Outlaw Pro Mod - 3/8/04 recently 6.01 @ 250mph......

    I got misquoted like three or four times.

    Pro Mod
    has allowed turbos for a long time (or they did). Pro Mod is not an NHRA Pro class.

    I said that IF the NHRA allowed turbos is the pro classes the records WOULD BE SMASHED AND BROKEN AND BLOWN AWAY (pun intended) by the turbos...but the NHRA is stodgy.

    Why was my quote taken as being against turbos...?

    What is a Thrush bearing....? Is that like when you get a fungus inside a spinning supporting roller device?

    Wildman, did you write that long post on page 8 yourself or is it a cut and paste?

    the thrush bearing is just a more specific term for the muffler bearing but only in thrush mufflers

    Got it. Quik is correct there. The tension on the drive pulley is harder on the crankshaft thrust surface. That goes back to efficiency. The turbo makes power off used stuff and the SC uses stuff to make power.

    Remember though, there is no such thing as a free lunch.
