You'll need to pick up some Comp 918 springs to accomodate the higher lift and some hardened rods.any body familiar with it? i want to make sure that i can use the stock torque converter.... do i have to replace anything else on the valvetrain such as lifters, roller, rockers etc....

All based on my limited knowledge...
you will need a 2600 stall and push rods, springs 26918 to get the most out of the cam, if you use the stock converter then it will feel real sluggish off the line.

I was thinking about getting that cam, but was told i needed a stall because it was going to be a real dog down low without a stall.you will need a 2600 stall and push rods, springs 26918 to get the most out of the cam, if you use the stock converter then it will feel real sluggish off the line.

vv8 i dont know if you remember me from HRP about 2 weeks ago on a friday night i was with a buddy in an orange 55 chevy and we all talked for a while at the staging lanes and you showed us your truck?....well thats sort of a bummer about the cam, if i dont replace the springs and push rods could it be catostrophic or will it hold for a while?....any other cam suggestions im looking for something that sounds pretty good loap wise with a set of headers but i dont really have a lot of extra cash laying aound for the springs and other stuff
I'm running that same cam on a 115 LSA instead of 112 with a 3200 stall, Manley springs and titanium retainers with MTI hardened pushrods. I'd like to go more duration with a 600 + lift when do my next swap.
