    Blower exhaust setup questions..

So i am prepping my setup and have some questions regarding an exhaust setup..

I have the vehicle registered as a collectors item, which prevents me from fix it tickets, so its not really too big of a deal if its super loud.. However i dont want to have open long tubes as i drive it on the street still.

My question lies on the header back section..

I know on turbo cars, when running twin turbos, its not really a big deal or important to have an h or x pipe to benefit you like it does on a naturally aspired car. What about a supercharged car?

I had planned on getting 1-7/8 to 2'' stepped longtubes, possibly even 3.25 collectors instead of 3'' and run the same size(full 3.25 inch exhaust possibly) from the collector straight back through a spintech muffler on each side, then out turndowns. Would i be better off running the exhaust through an x pipe and then to the mufflers, or is the whole x pipe deal an elaborate waste of time now that the car is supercharged?

    Any help is appreciated!

it helps with scavenging, gives you more low end power essentially... so since the blower boosts low end power so much it might not be needed but it cant hurt if its designed properly...

ground clearance is an issue and i am running a driveshaft about 2x the diameter of the piddley stock one, so the whole x pipe deal may be history at this point..hmmmm

and keep in mind the closer it is to the engine the better.... so if theres not enough room unless you run it way at the back its kinda a moot point...

ya, its all about the "pulses".... the farther from the engine you get the more they are dampened.

here in ohio i had to send a list of over 7k in reciepts of aftermarket parts, and get a letter of limited production status from the manufacturer.. As long as you have another street registered car you drive and say you only drive 1300 miles a year, they give you the plates. Never been audited in 3 years on mileage. No one i know has, and i have friends that have had them for at least the last 10-15 years.

Here in ohio the cops wont mess with you for fix it tickets, im not sure how it is where you are at, but i had a 35% tinted entire windshield on my rx7, and ran with open headers on et 325 bald et radials, lofl....

the only thing they ever commented on during a traffic stop was my speedo, and the fact that since i cut the dashboard in half, i had no glovebox for my gun (have concealed weapons permit) to go into since i had a race bucket, so i bolted a blackhawk serpa holster to the trans tunnel and snapped my USP 45 in next to the shifter.. LOL!!! The cop pulled me over like, um.. "What the HELL do you even do with this car dude, this is pushing every law possible to the limit. Ill have to admit, this hands down makes mad max look like fisher price stuff". He was laughing though. I explained the holster had a snap, i had no glovebox, the car had collector/exhibition tags, and was a race/show car i rarely drove on the street.

he was not down with the plexi i had over the plate that was misted with spraypaint. I had toggles on the dash so i could flick the license plate and rear running lights off along with the brake light switch off. That way no clowns could video tape me terminating them and get my plates on film and put them online or whatever (it would just show up all darkness in the night with an occasional fireball in the distance, lol) along with being able to get away if i needed to drive hard and get on and off the brakes with just the headlights on, lol.. Worked perfect. LOL.. Even ran the fuel lines inside the car so i could like take it through a field if i needed to without immobilizing the motor by tearing the fuel lines off it LOL.. I guess i kind of thought it out.. Then i got married, and realized i was going to get in serious trouble with it. so i took it apart. haha

heres some pics of that car..

it was like right around 2366lbs and had a bolt on ls6 with a 200 shot. Basically a scrap metal casket on wheels. miss havin that together, but my wife DID NOT like it AT ALL...

im guessing it had something to do with my little pep talks i had inside it. LOL ( I guess i have a morbid sense of humor)

the sad part is my gto is on its way to the same state, lol. and i bought it cause it was a nice car inside.. now im thinking about sheet metal door panels and half a dash in it, lofl..

I guess in the end i always end up in the same spot...

10 years ago i had a 1300lb civic hatchback with a custom turbo kit on a prelude engine and a 75 shot of nitrous. At least im messing with the right kind of cars now. lol.. I do remember driving that civic to college with a toboggin and mittens on watching the cv axle turn through the huge holes in the firewall the heater core and stuff used to go through while snow blew in through the holes. haha.. I guess its just my happy place! Trailer Park Death Traps! Salvage Yard Racer for life!

I see this "tattoo guy" business.. I too am a tattoo guy, not by trade, but i am severely colored in. hehe..
