    99-02 Speedometer mod?

Wondering if anyone has ever removed the small peg that keeps the speedo from going above 100mph? I know it isn't marked past 100 but it would help to estimate. Will it still be fairly accurate if I remove that peg? Will it cause calibration issues if it goes that far?

unless you have a tune, ur not gonna be able to go past that. you need to have the speed limiter removed

The speedometer needle still won't go past 100 with the peg removed. It's calibrated to stop there, so it won't hurt it nor help it.

Escalade clusters look better anyway. Guess that is next on the list. I would love to know how fast it goes. All I know is it hits 100 at about 4000 rpm and then gets up to around 5500rpm.

My 5.3 4x4 hits 130 on my GPS. Your 4.8 may get up there, considering you're way lower.
