Question WTB RCSB with 5.3 for under 13K..

Whats up guys...I am getting a divorce, and I am going to need a truck B4 mid September. I have been looking all over for a RCSB silverado with a 5.3 that hasn't been cut up or beatten to death for under 13K.....I have found a COUPLE of trucks that fit that description, but they look like they might have been beat to death, or they have been cut into pretty good with the mini truck look....
Does anyone have any ideas, or an inside eye at something at a dealership here in southern cali by thier house? I am willing to spend up to 13K....
I am going to be a LITTLE short on cash so that is all that I can really afford....I am selling the trailblazer SS because on one income I would be "car poor"...so I am going to make up for it by building a RCSB with a 5.3 in it.....
Any ideas or suggestions would be awesome.....thanks in advance for ANY help!

Do you have more pics? Have you had any issues with the trans or misc interior electronics? Depending on my bank, and how getting taxed for it works out you might have yourself a deal man......I live in California so I have to look at if I have to pay Texas AND California for taxes on it.....What exactly did you do to the exhaust? Does it still have the cats on it?

I found a truck here in california. It is a 2000 RCSB with 100K miles on it, and a 5.3...for just under 7 grand...WELL..I don't really care about the mileage because it has roll down windows and the stock head unit, and manual seats.....The money that I would save buying this truck I could put a new trans in it the day that I got it home, or just about replace every sensor under the hood.....ONE PROBLEM THOUGH!
I looked it up on CARFAX, and it was in an accident in 2008...it was driven almost 4K miles AFTER that by the owner....but I am kinda weary about what kind of damage it was. The truck is like 300 miles away from me, and I am not going to drive out there to find out it had HUGE damage done to it and they cleaned it up.....Is there any way to see how much damage was done to it when it was hit? My buddy was saying something about looking up how much the insurance company paid to have it rebuilt after the accident.....anyone able to shed some light on how to do this?

This truck would be PERFECT for me if it was just a fender bender!

if it helps here is the VIN: 1GCEC14T4YZ240828

I can tell you it's a regular cab short bed 2000 with a 5.3 by looking at the VIN. You knew that.

There's one problem with trucks you buy from old men. The way they drive vs. the way we drive. Take an old man's truck and go beat on it... 9/10 times it'll break faster than one you buy from some hot rod kid. It's like they go into shock lol.

Yeah SERIOUSLY....I just want a clean slate....I am hoping that this truck pans out as far as the accident that it was in....it looks like they painted the whole truck....If it was only cosmetic and no frame damage or damage to the cab itself I am REALLY thinking about getting it....
If I get it I could have over half of it paid off by X-mas when my divorce is in full swing, and I get my bonus money from reenlisting.....I could actually have it paid off in a year if I dont have to pay any lawyer fees....
