    Lets try it again

OK so Ive been having this issue were my truck acts like its flooding up.I really stumped everyone with the thread about what its doing ,so im gonna try baby steps.Yesterday i put 20 bucks in my gas tank ,pulled out of the gas station and it acted up,really as soon as it started.so what would cause this too happen ,it happens everytime i put gas in ,and this is the same it does in the morning,if i try too take off right awway. The sump in the tank is modified with no stock internals ,electric f/p, aluminum lines into the tank for feed and return,100 micron filter, etc.feel free to ask questions about the setup.Im just sick of it running like crap the majority of the time.I also know it floods up because whenever it runs like crap it also smokes till it clears up.Thanks again.

Sounds exactly like what my 408 did. Greg narrowed it down to the grounds.

Turned out one on the back of the block was loose. Fixed it.

Have you checked EVERY ONE? There are tons of them.

No i havent checked the grounds,Im even pretty sure theyre r some that arent connected.I actually have 1 that goes from battery to somewere below the power steering pump ,if it gets disconnected or loose itll kill the truck and wont let it run at all.i havent though of this ,but ii wouldnt have though it for a second to cause a intermittent issue. Its funny it even does it in the morning at cold start.what was yours doing s/c ?how can i get a list of all the grounds on my truck?anyone know?I probly should check this out any way ,ya know?still open for new suggestions tho guys, ill do a checklist and just go through it.and all suggestion.thanks again.

Mine was doing just what you are describing. Turned out the ground that was loose was for the O2 circuit or something. THere are grounds at the front of the motor (d/s on the lower block), back of the block top, back of the cylinder head. Prolly more than that too.

Small one passenger side behind intake next to OPS, large one from braided strap to back of driver's head that goes up to the firewall.
