I'm no expert, but if you're able to do a 6.2 I don't think there's any reason not to...
01 Silverado
there was a post somewhere stating that the 6.2's had a weak piston??someone correct me.but then again every engine has a weak spot.
6.2 would be nice in a rcsb.acts good in the nali, but then again its backed by the 6spd.
if it has weak pistons, then i guess you'll just have to replace them with bigger ones!!!
01 Silverado
If your gonna pay the money for a new engine get a forged built one man! That would really be pimpin! Otherwise if your on a budget Id roll with the 6.0

I hate you.......j/k More jealous than anything. I want a 6.0!!!
if your wantin to go n/a ya'd be better off with the 6.2, but just depends on ur budget.. just remember, there's no replace for displacement..
02' 1500HD 6.0L bone stock, too many miles 270k ish on the clock, and lots of corrosion..

cheapest 6.2 ive found is 3800.00
dude truthfully do a "chap" 408 build if ur talking about spending nearly 4k on a 6.2 i see no reason not to, just save money by keeping stock head and main bolts (no reason for studs cus no boost and no spray) and some good P&P heads like wcch 317 and a fat cam like the one i bought form Virgil in the 250 duration range and 620-630 lift, u know it will be a solid low 11 truck if done right
