about a year ago today i got a ticket for 101 in a 65 and it made me wonder if anyone else has gotten any wild tickets. I thought it would be cool to be able to post your worst speeding ticket or how lucky you got by not getting a ticket on this site just to see what violations people are getting the most tickets for or good ways to get out of a ticket. I have heard that if you keep an expired insurance card with you and you get pulled over for speeding and tell the cop that all you have is the old insurance card they will most likely give you a ticket for the expired insurance simply because the ticket will cost you more. Then you can go to the court house and show proof that you have insurance and they will no charge you with no insurance. I dont know if it works though because i have never tried it. I just thought a section to post your stories about getting pulled over would be cool. Just to see what other people have done to get out of a ticket. I dont mean stories about how you shot some cop and ran but how you can evade the cops by turnning into a parking lot or something like that.

Raced my brothers, 2002 Mercury Cougar XR on the interstate and we flew by a state trooper that LUCKILY was in the middle of writting a ticket. My truck shut off right after we passed him and my brother passed me at 115mph.
Next time my truck will have the Nelson tune and we will try again.

I got one in Austin just this passed Wednesday.

There was a cop standing on a bridge with the speed gun, shooting people, and others from the side coming out and giving tickets. I passed 4 other people on the side of the road when I passed the bridge before I got pulled over. I saw another cop chasing after I got pulled over.

He said I was going 81 in a 70, but changed it to 80 since it was a cheaper fine. I think he just put 81 on there cause it was one class higher than 80. EVERY ticket I have had is like that, it's 1mph into the next bracket. I think that's cheap and low down. I won't even get into how cheap and low down the way I got stopped was, especially since EVERYONE else around me was running the same speed I was, maybe even faster.

I told the cop I didn't think that was fair, I was polite about it, and he said with a smirk, he didn't make me speed, so it wasn't a speed trap.

What do ya'll think? I think I should be able to get out of that one.

I got a ticket for 121 in a 55. I was racing a friend in a trans am and when we got to the top of the hill a cop was sitting there with radar. My friend kept going and got away. After he wrote me the ticket for 121 he told me that we scared the shit out of him. Of course when he ask me who my friend was in the trans am I told him I don't know him. Cost me $800 in fines and lawyer fees and 6 points on my license. They lowered it to 80 in a 55. Insurance found out a year later and doubled it.

Here in Connecticut you better be carrying an up to date insurance card. Its a misdemeanor summons if you dont. And is a trip to court. I have written a couple for this one. And basically the 1st couple of words out of the mouth of the speeder decides how far the ticket gets written within the legal boundries of the offense I have towards them. Dont pull a BS, been on the job long enough to have heard them all. I am sure some of you know this.
