Have heard good things about these. These will fit your truck? What is your setup putting down to the wheels and whose transmission are you running?

Hi Aggie,
These are longer than "shorty" headers, but not at as long as long tube (LT) headers. I see you have a 3.8 in the F-Body. With LS1, the LTs will really open up the performance.
they are commonly referred to as exhaust manifolds. They are the tubes which the exhaust comes out of on the side of the Cylinder heads (which sit on top of the pistons (where the valves/springs/lifters/are on a engine. They typically add some HP and torque to the mix. Companies like SLP state that their long tube headers add up to 40HP /almost 60lb-ft torque. Here's a site: SLP 30053 SLP 1 3/4'' Tuned/Long Tube Headers, 2001-2002 - 30053 SLP Performance Parts
You'd be best served to go with LT headers if you had an LS1 in the Camaro compared to the others (shorty/mid-length)_....there can be some EPA impacts to going this route (harder to pass emissions from the visual inspection perspective). The biggest reason being that catalytic converters are not supposed to be removed or moved from their stock location. LTs make this difficult to do (well, more like impossible. Not to mention they are about $1,000.

Not sure if they will fit or not. I have another set that I am going to try. It would be nice if they would. If they fit, I was going to cut the ball flange off and put a regular collector on.
Dont know what I am putting down as of yet. My truck has really been put on the back burner to get customers cars out.
I changed to a little smaller cam and may just put a 200 shot on until I get the turbo stuff done.
As of right now, I have a broken 4l60. I am really considering doing a TH400 so I wont have trans worries anymore. We do have a couple 4l60s holding 600+rwhp, but I want to push more if I can.

Damn, you been working on that thing again? We're going to have to take them to the track once my 408s back in! I think my LS1 is getting ready to puke its guts out shortly. It's been living an awful abusive life.![]()
Thanks for the advice guys..I thought it would only be available for the LS1![]()
