    4.3L cam

    i have an 05 rcsb. 4.3L v6 what kind of cam would you guys reccomend?
    05 Chevy Silverado. Regular cab, short bed.
    -4.3L
    - Sung Top tonneau bed cover.
    imco custom dual exhaust,
    custom air intake,
    ls1 build in progress..

    it says in your sig soon to be a v8 why not save the money, and put it towards the v8 swap??

    yeah dont do it. I mean I put on all these bolt ons, and it was cool at the time, but that 2grand I spent for all this shit could have gone towards this engine and its stuff now

    i dont know man i still got another year until the trucks in my name so id like to at least make it nice. to were i dont have to freakin watch people fly past me. lol. i was just thinking cam air intake already have exhaust. and ported throttle body which is going on this weekend. i can see were you guys are coming from but im just itching to go fast and dont have the money to do a full out engine swap yet. unless you know of some amazing deals. i mean im 17 and i work 5 days a week. and just make enough to make insurance, gas, and occaional mods. ohhh ya and of course im going to get a nelson tune!

    Dont do it man...Get the V8.....I looked into the benefits and its only a like 5-10 HP gain...like 700$ just for the whole install etc.....I was so close to getting a custom built 6.0 from TRT with a 236/236 cam already installed...But problems came..but Im glad dad told me I was getting his truck with the 4.8..

    Get a V8 man...If you cammed it it would be badass...Look at Shwarmys truck...over a 50 RWHP gain....Sounds badass too...If you put a cam in a V6 it would sound like the V6 is dieing lol

    Dont worry man..Ill help you with your swap and help you get an engine as well..I know a place in town that can get you 5.3s for 500$ and 6.0s for 800$...and I think 4.8s for like 400$ but they arent worth it...(even though thats whats gonna be in my truck....But hey all I need is a 6.0 long block lol)

    The 4.3 will only go so far man....Speed is an addiction you will only want more and when the V6 is maxed out you will regret it and get a V8 and regret spending money on it...I only spent money on the stuff that would transfer over in the swap and give me HP then...That would be the thing to do right now (Such as : Stall, Shift Kit, you already have E Fans, LSD , Bigger Gears , Tune, Intake (Just the box and filter).

    Then while your upgrading your truck..save for the V8....Dont worry man Ill help ya out...Ill even help ya put it in.....I was in your position for a while man and I asked the same questions...All I did in return was read the forums and other websites every damn night till 4:00 in the morning....Now I know what to do haha..

    Im just now learning about the Camaros and other F bodies...Its a long process but youll get there....

    Just let me know man Ill help ya out..

    Even give ducky a shout..Hes doing his swap in 3 days...He will help you out and give you all the advice you need...

    hey thanks man i guess ur right i guess im just gonna have to hold down the v6 position for a while.. hey someones gotta do it! lol. ya if oyu need help with ur camaro my friend has one and he built that mother fucker it runs i think a 9.62 in the 1/4 mile.


    let me no man. ya id like to get a 6.0 up in there. but ya dude.
