    You want to look for a 2000 vette cam (pn 12560968), a 98-00 fcar cam (12557812/12560965) or a 00+ ycar/01+ fcar/01+ 6.0 cam (12561721) in that order of preferance.

Nope cam is all you need. I bought the gaskets and a new crank bolt and didnt use them. The gaskets are reusable as long as you dont tear them up takeing it apart. Mine ran leaner after the cam so you may want to look into a tune. The stock springs are fine for the .500 lift but are at the upper limits. So if you live somewhere cold, let the truck warm up good before romping on it to lessen you chances of breaking a spring.

lowred, i seen cams going for about 50 buks plus gaskets and they are pretty easy to install, as long as u know what u are doing. for instance, if u dont tighten the rocker arms exactly how they are supposed to be done, u will have lots of problems. it took me about 4 hours in a friends 2001 chevy 5.3. it was a comp cams made just for him, so he paid more for it.
