    i have g80 and a gu4 what is that?
    2006 ecsb silverado, AFE Cai, Jet Maf, Pacesetter Ceramic Coated Lt's, true duals with Dynomax Bullets, cats and o2's....still emissions legal!

    gu6= 3.42 gt4= 3.73 gt5= 4.10 those are the basic set of gears that come stock from factory the gt5 i think only came in z71 4x4 and corvettes and HD trucks, most likely a standard truck with a 4.8 or 5.3 came with the gu6 and gt4
    LR4 4.8 vortec , cat-cutouts, TRUE DUALS,airaid intake, MAF summit, 80mm throttle body, edlebrock headers, PCM,lowerd C-notch,flex-a-lite e-fan,180 stat. best 1/8 mile 9.9 at 79 mph

    i can run 80 at 2200 rpm, im thinking about changing my gears out though should i get a 3.73 would it be good for daily driving? Oh yeah does anyone know a good shop to get it changed at?

    3.73&#39;s would be just fine. You may not get as good hwy mpg---it will only be off slightly. Nothing to even worry about. 3.73&#39;s are a noticeable improvement over 3.42&#39;s. If you are going to go to the trouble of changing out your gears, make sure you go ahead and throw a posi in at the same time...

    Yeah but mine has the 3.23.....sucks&#33; So it would probably be a vast improvement, so get the 3.73 and an eaton posi?
