KEEP WITH THE FUEL INJECTION!!!!!! Buy a nelson harness and get a 01 02 ls1 PCM. Its easy to make the 350turbo work w/ the LS1. Im runing a 350 turbo in my 78 beater truck. Bring it to me w/ $200 and Ill tune the pcm to run. EASY!!!

Mines not done yet but heres some pics so far!!

You do not need to change out your valve body on the T-350, it can remain stock. [/b]
not correct...
the th350 uses a detent cable. and without major surgury and fabrication to provide detent, the manual
VB is a cleaner use and probably cheaper.

i am going to keep the FI, just need to find a harness.

Sounds like I am going to need a manual valve body.

I have also heard that i need to get a hughes ls1 flexplate adapter, was told that is all i need to mate the th350 and the ls1, is that true?

i dont want to have to buy a new converter if i dont have to.

thanks for the help guys...

Huh? Major surgery to modify a TB to add a detent cable? While it is not "major surgery and fabrication" to add a provision for the cable, it is not a direct bolt on... But in these swaps what is? He stated this would be a "daily driver". Keeping the automatic shifting function would seem to be in line with that. And would save the expense of adding a manual valve body. I suppose it depends on a person's comfort zone with either modifying things to work or just buying and installing something, and expecting it to work.....

Check this thread for a manufacturer provided part to solve this little problem. Linky
