Hey guys was thinking about doing another ls motor swap. I have a couple of choices to make. I can get an all aluminum 5.3 with 30k on it, or a 6.0 with 82k. Both are about the same price. I allready have a tr220 cam in mind for which ever one I buy. Which would you guys buy? I like the looks of the aluminum block and also the 30k on it, but the 6.0 would probably be quicker. I hate decisions. The other factor thats got me swaying towards the 5.3 is the weight factor. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Only about 100lbs difference. It would be nice to have only 30k, but it would also be nice to have more cubic inches. If the 6.0 has been well taken care of, I would lean toward it. LS based motors are very durable.

Update on 5.3 or 6.0 plans. I had better decide really soon because I just bought a magnacharger. You guys might know this If do a 5.3 can I add 6.0 heads and run more boost?

Well I ended buying a l33 5.3. It looks really cool to see the all aluminum block sitting in the truck. I am excited to feel the performance of it with the magnacharger on top.

i lost 142lb using the aluminum block/heads and a/c over
a iron 283 and th350. i had to use lighter spings on the front of the truck
as the lighter powertrain ,ade a drastic difference in power transfer
    and ride.
