Newbie doing an LS-1 in a '56 short box

I should have clarified on the Camaro sub frame - it is from a 78 camaro. Nice part is that the frame rails pretty much line right up with the original so you just snip, weld the Camaro sub frame to the bottom of the stubs of the original and voila! - independant suspension, disc brakes, and 3" lower to the ground with lots of aftermarked replacement parts if needed.

My issue is whether or not the engine mounts on the old sub frame are in the correct place for an LS-1? I can certainly move them, but it would be nice...
