Ha I dont usualy street race but this was to good to pass up. I was messin with my truck at work when a co workers friend showed up. There talking about how fast there cars are (stock cavalier and stock eclipse) Only mods are muffler and stickers. There bolth morons so Im just trying to ignore them. Then kid with the cavalier was telling the other kid my truck was pretty bad ass... He just kinda smirked and said "Yea OK" and rolled his eyes. Im still being some what nice and told him it will beat that POS... He laughs and starts talking all kinds of smack like "Its a Truck Dude, You Cant Beat Me, I'll embarrass you..etc

Im realy starting to loose my cool with this guy. So I say put your money where your mouth is. I pull $100 out of my wallet and said lets race, Come take my money! He pussy foots around a while telling me he dont want to take my money I need it more to make my truck go faster BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!!

After 20 mins of this shit im over it! Either you put the money up and race or get the F out of my face! He dicks around for another 10mins and FINALY says I only have $40. We exchange a few more words then hand the monies over to my co worker.

Off to the races... There is a place next to my work, 4 miles of straight road, no cops, traffic or people. He pulls up next to me and I told him were going to race to the a certain point on the road (about a 1/4 mile) I asked him how fast his car was and if he ever ran it before. He says no but it will be close... Now im laughing at him and said no it wont, You just go when your ready! No sooner than I said that he launched, Then I did catching him quickly and passing him like he was standing still, I looked in my mirror at the end and he was about half the track back. He pulls up next to me and I asked what happed man lol. He said He shited from 2nd to 5th. I asked if he wanted to do it again, I'll bet my $100 to your $40? He said his car felt funny and declined another embarrassment.

Once we got back to the shop I collected my money and told him next time not to run his mouth I would have raced you or free but thanks

Nice. Eclipse...man, I remember back in the day when the GST/GSX were sweet&#33; But since it was a base 2.0L 4...shiii, I could have run faster. And what moron goes 2-5 shift? You almost have to TRY and do that...
What mods do you currently have? Would have you run him if he had a GST/GSX?<---Given the fact that he actually hits the 2-3 upshift....
