"The Viper SRT-10 eats the drag strip, turning in a quarter-mile run of 12.1 seconds at 121 mph" It gets 12 city/ 21 highway.

Not too far off considering the Z06 has a V8 and the viper is running a V10 and theres probably not that much of a weight difference, can't wait to see what the new chevy V12's will run.

Right now Ford L's have it. I wish Chevy would step up and make an SS that would be an SS and blow all away. I want to make my truck and SS. I hate Dodge keep them in the back. I want to sit an L down and make them think. But think Chevy put there mind to makeing a proformance truck they are hurting themself but they ride a lot better than all the other's.

The main reason Chevy wont make a truck faster than the lightning is that it would be too close to the vette and they don't want to make as much power as the vette and make it cheaper, vettes would see less sales. Just my .02 though.

Oh yeah ford is predicting the L's to have about 500hp in late '04 or '05, but we will see.

12.1@121.. ...viper doesnt run that and these trucks got like 2,000 more lbs. and its gonna be competative priced with the "L" at around $40k-$50k...not $70k-$80k.

also, leather seats and a ~400 watt sound system with a sub and 2 amps . and yes a blower will fit, same basic design as the the "old" 8.0 V-10 with a few more cubes.

and allen, dont worry about being the fastest, these companies have way more money than you and will always make something faster....AND YOU'LL FEEL BETTER WHEN YOU BEAT ONE, giving them the " " face in your rear view.
