do any of you know the wire that tells you the trans temp in the 4l60e trans. I have a autometer trans temp gauge that I don't want to drill and tap the sender in the pan.

edit* I retract my previous statement and realize it was no help.

Just get the escalade or Denali gauge cluster. Thats what I did a whole lot easier than adding another gauge and pods and wires and etc etc etc
99RCSB Broke because I wasted thousands and thousands of dollars on my truck.

Not an option because I have the joe gibbs gauges and I'm not replacing them. I already have the pods(pillar and the socal overhead console) I have a interceptor gauge on the way. I have a elec. fuel pressure gauge trans temp a wide band and a boost gauge already. I just need to know which wire is for the trans temp.
find it on some wiring diagram.... look for teh schematics... my aeroforce tells me so i dunno.... it reads it off the obd2 somewhere... so there has to be something reading it and telling the gauge

I didn't think that aftermarket gauges would work off of oem sensor signals. Did I miss something along the way.

Well from my understanding the only one you want to stay away from id the water temp sensor on the head other than that it should be fine
