Yeah we have the 4l60e. the 4.8, and 5.3 do as well. Bluecajun is right about the tranny stuff. But me and jethro did the vette servo and that is an inexpensive/easy mod for the tranny. You probably wont need a shift kit because once you get the tune, and IF you get the servo, it'll shift pretty good.

The throttle body mod that your buddy is talking about is porting the throttle body. I think I never really did anything with the throttle body except clean the crap off when I put the $100 whistler on there.

Well if you get a 5.3 the tranny will mount up, and should be reliable for a while unless you are planning on some hardcore mods. The 6.0 is a different story. I have heard the 4l60 mounts up to the back of the 6.0, and I have heard it doesnt, you just gotta do some research on that. The 4l80e does mount up for sure to the 6.0, but that requires purchasing a kit to do a swap since your truck didnt originally come with the 80e. I dunno, just do browse around on here and performancetrucks.net and Im sure you can find alot of answers to questions you might have.

You wanna buy my box from my truck? It fit two 12 inch kicker comp subs..

Well no theres no kit to bolt the 60e to the 6.0, but if you were to get the 80e bolted up to the 6.0, then you HAVE to get a kit to make it fit in your truck. (The 80e I mean) The 80e is a bit bigger than the 60e.

oh ok..yea i knew they were bigger...its just a tongue twister almost when dealing with the 6 Liter...

Anyway...Once I get rid of the 4 wheeler I will be getting a tune...we should meet up at the track with nick or some other people and race!

By the way "50$ free" to whoever helps me find someone who wants it and who buys it.

we should that'd be cool. BTW every truck is different, but if you dont notice anything right away after the tune, just give it a week or so or 2-300 miles, or however long it takes your truck to relearn the new tune. Mine took a couple of weeks until it reached its full potential and then some.

Sorry i have not been on for awhile and i did not catch this post. I recommended the shift kit to him so that he is able to shift alot better. I know he will probably not fully utilize the shift kit but since we are already going to be in the trani when he does the server it is just as good to do the shift kit while we are at it.

I have recommended to him to go with an EATON posi when we do the gear change in the rear.

The modification i was talking about on the throttle body was to "Remove the cup off the bottom of the throttle blade". I did this when i had my 4.3 and it made a huge difference in throttle response. You just have to be really care when you do this mod to not cut in edge of the throttle blade. Ducky look on your throttle body and you should see what i am talking about on your blade.
