Im sure that most of you guys remember my post back in august about a reg cab HEMI that beat me. Well just so happens I got him to show up at the track, I pulled off a better time and this is what he wrote.
"ok, so i went out there bout 7:30 and let the engine cool down for 20 min since i had a 30 min drive to get there.
I get in the staging lanes and wait to run my first run. Then a BLACK chevy ss pulls up and asks if I wanted to run him, I of course say yes and we line up and run. I took him easily. I didn't have a good run either. ran a 14.58 cuz of very poor traction and he ran a low 15. He was stock as I found out later on.
Ran into Daniel, the ss from this thread and he was getting ready to stage while I was already in the staging lanes again. I told him we would line up together on the next run, he said ok.
At this time it is 8:20 and I had to leave at 9 b-cuz i had plans with my girlfriend and i promised her that i would be back in time.
anyways, so i'm in the staging lanes and there was some kind of mechanical issues with one of the cars and spilled a bunch of liquids on the track. track crew had to come out and fix the track, took them 20 mins to do this so now, its 8:40 and the staging lanes were forever long cuz it was tuner shoot out night, and of course a lot of rice was out there. so i ran and got a sorry ass time of a low 15. this was b-cuz i feathered it out the line to try not to spin the wheels. so i figured that i couldn't stage again and get a race in before i had to leave so i call daniel and tell him that i wouldn't be able to run again, guess he understood and asked what my best run was and i told him out of a total of 2 runs, my best time was a 14.58 with bad traction (my 60 ft was like a high 2.3). he told me that he wasn't running what he was expecting either and that he was getting his tune readjusted. i told him to text me his best time of the night.
so long story short, couldn't race daniel cuz of time restraints, i got 2 runs in and the best time i got was 14.58 with bad traction, ss kid text me and let me know that his best time was 14.41. so IF we had lined up and ran it would have depended on if i got traction or not, but more than likely he would have taken me. <--hate to admit that BUT you just can't win'em all!"
Gotta love it when I Hemi owner admits getting beat!!! I registered on that site to try and find the 2 hemis in town and set up another race because I am no longer stock. You will prob enjoy the thread. Its very interesting. Heres the link.
