Well I think about it like this.

The front mount that I want with the intercooler is going to cost in the 7k range only because all NEW pipe needs to be fabricated etc etc. Not to mention I would need to beef up the tranny and do small other misc objects. So with the front mount and everything else lets say roughlyyyy 10k for the turbo on the V6.

So lets look at the pricing on a 6.0 and turbo.

It would cost anywhere from 4,000-5,000 for the front mount on the lq4 (since they already have a kit ready for that), and the lq4 would run me about 1700 for a low mileage one. I still havent broken $8,000 yet. Im gonna get my rearend done soon anyway so Im not including the cost into the cost of the front mount. Im going to get a FLT 65e for the tranny and have a mild cam with the 6.0. I somewhat estimated some costs for a 6.0, 65e, cam, stall, rearend, and turbo, and I would be in the 10k-12k range.

My V6 has 80k on it, and its running strong, but I want a low mileage engine anyway..

Its a great thought guys but I dont think im heading in that direction.

ITS ONLY MONEY? HAVE ALLEN FAB YOU UP SOME PIPING. I KNOW HE CAN DO IT. IT WON'T COST THAT MUCH. HE FABBED SOME PIPING ON MY TRUCK. IT WORKS FINE. I BET YOU CAN GET A TURBO ON THAT TRUCK FOR UNDER 5 GRAND. IT WILL BE DIFFERENT, LIGHT, AND FAST! I BET YOU COULD GET LOW 13 HIGH 12 IN THAT SETUP AND STILL HAVE THE GAS MILAGE.
