Basically I want to do a 6.0l swap. I have a 2002 gmc sierra, I know all the electrical will hook up and everything but does the 6.0l have to be a out of a 2002 or can it be a later year any info will help alot thanks.

It's a straight swap, just need to get the PCM reprogrammed of the larger engine. Any year 6.0L will work, be sure you get the correct flywheel with your engine. Get the newest engine you can afford.
