Here you go guys! You wanted an intercooler so we finally got one mocked up.
It's still in the early stages and all piping needs to be welded up and coated, but you'll get the idea.
The intercooler kit should be around $800.

Intercooler Pics

The intercooler is a bar and plate design, capable of supporting more than enough HP for 99% of us.
The piping will be coated mild steel. This setup has the maf delete because we're going SD.
The turbo is a 62-1 Turbonectics with a .96 housing.

This truck will be done next week. We'll post up numbers and data.

thanks,
allen

Why are intercooler kits so expensive. This kit, trt, sts and detroit included. I mean you can get the same FMIC off ebay for 150 bucks and between some piping and silicon couplers you have all of 300 in it. I guess Im missing where all these FMIC kits are putitng this extra money into.

Nice use of space for the piping behind the air dam.

Our's is priced right because it will work. Also, our intercooler is custom made and not a cheap knock off from overseas. It's important to design an intercooler that cools well and flows well.
Also, you're paying for time. It takes time to route all the piping and make it look professional and not like a big mess of pipes.
Trust me, there's more than $300 worth parts on this one and there's no way you can get this intercooler from ebay.

Forced induction isn't cheap,

Thanks Mike, I tried to make it as even and straight as possible, it really looks clean and straight in person.
We'll see how it performs next week.

Not demeaning the product at all but I have seen the ebay ICs hit over 1000rwhp and not break 180 IATs, Seems prettye fficeint to me. I understand needing to pay for the time and I admit the pipe routing is nice and would cost a bit more not ot mention fabrications of brackets etc. I guess Im just more of a do-it-yourselfer. I still wish you would have said something about this kit sooner, otherwise I would have one of these instead of my STS.

ur always going to pay more when its custom, and although i dont know a lot about FI, i doubt allen would price gauge anyone. seems to me u get what u pay for and id rather not skimp when it comes to FI. from what i can tell, it looks very nice, and clean as can be expected. good job allen. cant wait to see numbers on it!

Slow, trust me when i built my intercooler setup there is alot more involved then just bying the intercooler and some pipe. I believe that mine worked out to be like 550 with all the parts, intercooler,t-bolts, silicone couplers etc. That is not counting all the time I put into making it work either.
