ok i got a new feul filter today and changed it , but still same problem , wont start unless you give it a shot of starting fluid the pressure runs at about 60 psi with the ignition on and fuel pump running but motor not running, i did notice today also when i tried to start it, the oil pressure stays at zero for a few seconds before it raises up.

    thanks for any help

check for injector pulse while cranking, could be something with that??. if it has pulse you might try cleaning the injectors.??? its a long shot...

You might have a bad fuel regulator. It's located under the upper intake plenum. You can see the pressure at the fuel rail which should be 60 psi but I don't think you can see what's after the regulator. I've seen these leak by plenty of times in the past and not have enough pressure to open the poppets.
