That is a good install. I hate to brake it to you but that is just a very efficient cold air intake. You might ask how do i know. Well this is my third truck that i have built ram air on. Here is what i did and this may help you.
    1. Parts- 1 dryer hose from home depot, 1 dremel, 1 can spray insulation.
    2. I used the drimmel to make a hole in the bottom of the air box and in the metal plate below the air box.
    3. I slid the hose through the air box and down and through the support and then up behind the front grill similar to what you did.
    4. Now here is where i made it ram air. This took a little physics thought on my part. It is easy to pressureise a big space a little bit then it is a smaller place. What you do is with the spray insulation i sealed all the remaining holes in the sides of the air box to only use what the hose is bringing in.
    5. Ram air does not become functional until around 60.

Now if you have any questions let me know.

Dale, Cowl327, has a great set up for the GMC Grill/Intake. See if he will share his innovative idea.... forced air without vaccuuming the ground/water

    Jethro,

Dont you have personal experience with sucking in your truck. HEHE just kidding your truck kicks ass. I cant wait to race you again and beat you. I hope.

On a serious note jethro does your air intake have a chance of sucking in water since it is so low?
