thats true too, i understand the weight thing, but honestly thats prob ur weakest point, seeing as my fat ass could lose 100 pounds and it wouldnt gaurantee id run fatser on the track. when u say for every 100 pounds u lose .1 i think it depends on other things way more than weight. u could even say that if u shifted more weight onto the rear tires ud gain .1 or more due to traction. point is weight is important, but there r tons of other things that would cause.1 or .2 second differences. the ls1 is an awesome engine, theres no doubt about it. and if u ever find out how much power that stock crank can really handle(first hand) u better post pics.

wow.... were you born in a barn? like seriously. if you think weight to hp ratio will not influence quarter mile ETs would you mind telling us all what will? if you tip the hotrod factor (weight to hp) down on the weight side or up on the hp side your ET will decrease. no if and or buts about it.

it does matter, but there are too many factors to prove a certain loss or gain. does an engine run the same every single time? temperature could be diff, all kinds of stuff. i was simply saying to break it down to .1 is a lil tough to prove. red knows his stuff and he's right that it does help being lighter, but u cant specifically put a number on it. sorry for the confusion.
